• 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 (16 oz.) cans baked beans with pork
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chile peppers
  • 1 small Vidalia onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 3 Tablespoons hot sauce, or to taste

Like Bush’s Baked Beans?  Everyone does, its just not summer without them.  Here is a recipe that takes baked beans to a whole new level.  It does require some time, but the outcome is oh so delicious!  Make this recipe for the next family get together, Labor Day is around the corner.  Make it for your Fantasy Football Draft party, football season is less than 6 weeks away.  No matter what you make it for, its sure to be a hit!


  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink; drain fat and set aside.
  • In a 3 1/2 quart or larger slow cooker, combine the ground beef, baked beans, green chiles, onion, and bbq sauce.  Season with brown sugar garlic powder, chili powder, and hot sauce.
  • Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or low for 4 to 5 hours.
