• 8 lb Standing Rib Roast (tied)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Meat Thermometer


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Place your roast in shallow pan (9×13) fat side up.  Generously salt and pepper roast.
  3. Cook for 2 1/2 – 3 hours uncovered.
  4. Take out of oven and cover. Let stand for 15 minutes. It will continue to cook at this time.
  5. Use a meat thermometer so you know how cooked the meat is.
  6. Slice and enjoy!  The juices in the pan make great gravy also.
