• 4 - 1 inch thick Pork Chops
  • ¼ cup Margarine
  • 2 Tbsp chopped Onion
  • 3 Tbsp chopped Celery
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped Apples
  • 2 tsp dried Parsley
  • Salt & Pepper
  • ¼ cup Vegetable Oil

Crisp mornings, cool nights, leaves changing color.  All are signs that autumn is upon us.  Apples, pumpkins, apple cider, squash, caramel apples…. can you sense a theme.  Apples seem to be at the center of fall activity.  Whether its picking apples with the family at a local orchard, fellowship with friends over apple cider and donuts, or making homemade caramel apples with your kids, apples are the “Taste of Fall”.   Gather your family around the dinner table with this delectable apple stuffed pork chop recipe.

Directions

  1. Trim Pork Chops and slice as deep a pocket as possible. Salt and pepper inside the pockets.
  2. In a deep pan, saute the onions and celery in margarine.
  3. Add bread crumbs, apples, and parsley to the pan. Stir and remove from heat.
  4. Stuff Pork Chops with the mix and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Heat oil in skillet (medium high heat) and lightly brown both sides of the Pork Chops.
  6. Place Pork Chops in a greased 9x—13 pan and cover with foil
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil cover and bake an additional 20 minutes.
